Software Updater [SOLVED/Answered]
« on: June 26, 2014, 11:03:58 am »
Hello All,

Observation/question on software updater within Peppermint 5.  On the 3rd tap for 'updates', and after authorization, the boxes for those 4 'trusty' sources become unclicked within a second after I click it and check mark appears.  All other functions of the updater appear to work.

I do have all the Peppermint software sources clicked in 1st tab, and all but 1st option [cdrom] clicked for other software in second tab.  Updates do happen if I run program manually .. have not really given it a chance to run automatically.  And in conclusion I did have the same observation in version 4 in the last few months before 5 came out.

My theory is it really does not matter since I have all active in the first 2 tabs.

Thank you.

Ron

Yes, you should be fine if everything labeled "updates" in the second tab is checked.

Thank you for the rapid response Kendall.

Ironically, automatic update just happened!
