XBMC, now Kodi, crashes at video [SOLVED]

Here's the log. Any idea how I can correct this?

Try disabling VDPAU in the Video Playback settings (XBMC)

If that makes no difference, post the output from:

Turns out Google Earth wouldn't load either and the problem was the video card. Upgraded and all good now.

Hi winnipeg305, well done figuring this out  ;).  In addition to your upgrade, have you also run a dist-upgrade? This intelligently handles changing dependencies with new versions of packages.

apt dist-upgrade -yIt is recommended that you reboot your machine after running a dist-upgrade, as there maybe kernel updates.  Thanks for marking the topic as [Solved]  ;).

Thanks very much for this. There were updates and they are now installed. :)
