Title: Peppermint 9 Respin installer always crashes
Post by: Matthew on December 27, 2018, 08:58:58 pm
I've been trying to install the new Peppermint 9 respin.  Every attempt results in an error message that makes no sense to me.  I did run the md5sum before creating the USB thumb drive.  Any suggestions?

In Peppermint 9 via Unetbootin.

If you're running Peppermint, the best tool to use is the USB Image Writer, unser "System" in the menu.

Thanks to both Scifidude79 and PCNetSpec.

When I used the USB Stick Formatter on the drive and then used USB Image Writer everything worked great.  I've got the P9 Respin running and have been setting it up with the software I generally use.

Great news Matthew :)

Unetbootin has been a bit flaky with Peppermint for a while now .. we generally suggest the USB Image Writer, or Etcher (or even 'dd') in Linux

or

Rufus and Etcher in Windows.
