Title: Steam download drive question please
Post by: lend27 on July 11, 2015, 06:08:54 pm
Steam installed on my main SSD, but I want games to be saved to another internal SSD.
When I bring up steam and try to download a game it gives me a chance to designate the drive to save to.
When I navigate to the drive it says "drive must be writeable".
Evidently the permissions on the drive are wrong.

How can I correct this so I can save to correct drive?

Thanks
Len

Mount the drive as your user via fstab

If you're not sure how, please open a terminal and post the output from:
Code: [Select]
sudo fdisk -l
and
Code: [Select]
mount
and
Code: [Select]
whoami
and the contents of:
Code: [Select]
gedit /etc/fstab
