For your info I see those messages as well during startup, and thought it was normal for P8.   :-\

You are all right.  However, as the owner of a 32 bit PC it's sad to see you may not be able to get software for it in the future.   ???

I understand your concerns and knew it was not a slam dunk.  Just an option to take a look at.

You might want to look at this as an option - the Pinebook.  Probably not what you're looking for but just in case I thought I'd show it to you.    I understand it comes with Linux Mate.

Also, if you have the firewall in Peppermint turned on it can block your network access.  Turn off the Peppermint firewall and see if it works.  If so, you need to set up rules to get around that.

GNU/Linux Discussion / Re: Why Linux Mint Won
« on: July 16, 2017, 11:20:21 am »
I recently looked at the latest version of Mint and found it a bit difficult to set up.   For example it took several steps and web searches to set up Dropbox which is very easy to set up on a Ubuntu distro and Peppermint.  Had some problems with setting up themes and icons as well.  Maybe it's me, but for a number one distro to have these types of problems I was surprised.  :-\

Place the icon on the panel as before.  Then right click on on the icon and select move.  A flashing red line will appear and you move the line where you want it to go with the mouse.  Then left click that spot for the icon to be placed there.

Hello Wolfenprey and welcome to the forum.
