Yes, I have samba installed.  I'm using Peppermint 6 - 64 bit.  The printer is a Brother Model DCP-7040.  I'm trying to connect wirelessly with my laptop through my Dell Desktop running windows 7 pro.  Thanks.

I have Peppermint 6 installed on my laptops and it's working great.  However, I'd like to print to my Brother Laser printer that is connected to my Dell desktop running windows 7, but I cannot.  The printer setup in Peppermint does find the printer but I'm unable to print a test page or anything.  If I use windows 7 on my on my laptop I'm able to print fine, but I cannot when using Peppermint.  I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this.  Thanks.

Hi Slim,

It didn't work for me.  First of all there was not a htop.desktop file already in the applications folder so I copies the file there.  I then made the change you recommended but it did not do anything but open the terminal.  Thanks.

I installed the previous version 16 and everything shows up fine in the menu.  There is apparently a problem with new version that causes this.  Thanks.

Is there a different command to get Htop to work in P6?  I can't seem to get to work there.  Thanks.

I just installed the GREAT new version of Peppermint.  However, when I installed the latest .deb package of WPS Office it does not show up in the office folder (Or any other folder) on the menu, even though it says it's installed.  This may be a problem with WPS Office but I'd appreciate any help I can get with this.  Thanks.

Edit: I'm using the 64 bit version of P6.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.  If you upgrade the kernel will it still be a LTS release or does that change it?  Thanks.  Jeff

I have the same problem as you and was wondering if you ever found a fix.  I've tried several things and other distros but it's the same problem.  I think it may be a Draftsight problem but I cannot even get them to discuss the issue let alone help.  Hope your having better luck.  Thanks.

Thanks alot. I didn't have to copy the file as it was already there.  I just changed the command as you as you indicated and everything works.  Thanks again for all of your help.  Peppermint has the best support forum of  any distro.
Best Regards, Jeff

Thanks for the info Mac.  However, sagcad does not have read & write .dwg file capability and qcad does - that's what I need.  Is it possible to install qcad?  Thanks.

I found an install file with a .run extension which I was able to get to work so I don't need the tar.gz file install afterall.  Thanks for the help.  ;D

Since Draftsight stopped supporting a 32 bit linux cad program, I would like to install Qcad but it only provides a tar.gz file format format.  Can someone tell how to install this type of file in Peppermint 5 32bit?  :-\

Does anyone have any experience with this distro?  It's based on Lubuntu and it reminds me of Peppermint with more Glitz!
I've tested it a bit and it seems nice although not as stable as Peppermint.  Thanks.  Jeff
