No drivers say recommended.  There are two options for that driver on this system.  Are you using the 331.113 driver that says tested or the one with updates?  I tried the one that says tested and it fixed the problem I described above but it showed some funky things on the splash screen during startup about something that failed that concerned me so I went back to Nouveau.  Maybe I should try the one with updates if that's what you are using.

Right now it looks like it is using the Nouveau.  I'll try a proprietary driver.  There are several listed so I'll have to guess at which one to try.

I cannot get a very good picture and I don't see a way to attach a picture here.  I wish I could explain it more clearly but it's not done this on any other install that I've seen.  It's the 64 bit version of Peppermint 6 installed beside windows 7 on a homemade desktop with an Asus motherboard.  This shows up after you login and until Peppermint is fully loaded and you get the menu.  Then it's gone.

Installation / Screen Issue After Login-SOLVED
« on: June 25, 2015, 11:17:53 am »
I installed Peppermint 6 on a friends computer and it is working.  However, after the login screen you see a bunch of "stuff" on the bottom half on the screen until it loads and you see the menu on the bottom left.  Then you see the normal window background.  The stuff looks like a bunch of terminal commands but all over the screen.  I have not seen this before and wondered if that can be fixed.  Don't know what caused this issue.  As I said Peppermint appears to be working ok after that but it's kind of annoying.   :-\
Thanks.

Software & Applications / Peppermint 6 USB Image Writer
« on: June 16, 2015, 02:22:31 pm »
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this topic, but I would like to have a detailed explanation on how to use the USB Image Writer.  Can I make a complete image of the current setup I have?  If so how do I do that?  It asks you to select the image to write and offers the directories.  Do I select all of the directories or just a specific one?  Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm not sure what to do.  Thanks. :-\

Can I add this dark theme to Peppermint 5 as well?  If so how would I do it?  Thanks.
