I'm sure the dev's here already are, but it's never too early to plan for disaster recovery so we are ready should the worst happen.

Ok, I'm sure this would have been mentioned if it was an issue, but it needs to be asked...  If they do cut 32bit support, would this effect Peppermint running steam and the like?

Sorry that was a bit rubbish of me, I should have said that in the first post.  The message when you load it is...

The XScreenSaver daemon  doesn't seem to be running on display ":0.0". Launch it now?

When I first installed it, it worked ever boot up.  Now is doesn't.  To be honest I am not sure whether it is an intermittent problem as my wife isn't too clear on the details!  All I know is that when I try to start it  and it tells me that it hasn't started.

Hi all,
We have installed this and it gives some amazing screensavers.  But every now and then on re-boot it doesn't auto-load and I have to manually load it.  Any ideas how to get it to auto load?

Hardware / Re: Mouse & Keyboard stop working

I haven't tried a different one yet as it seems strange that both stop working at the same time.   I will swap usb port on the keyboard and see if this helps.

we tried that, it didn't make a difference.  The only way to get control back is to long press the power button to turn off and then turn back on again.
It seems to be happening every day or so.  I just hope it doesn't put the wife off Peppermint!

Argh, it was all going so well on my wife's PC and then her mouse and keyboard stopped working.  >:(

We did a hard re-boot and all was fine.... for a few hours and then both of them stopped working again.  The keyboard is a standard USB one and the mouse is bluetooth, but is plugged in to charge most of the time.

Help!!!  :'(

My wife to bees (buzz) excuse is that she does not want to learn how to use another OS.

I just mentioned this to my wife and she said "but there's nothing to learn, it's just so easy to use".
Feel free to use that tag line  8)

Of course we know when we will have hit mainstream when the posts are "I have just got my husband to switch to Peppermint".  It's all rather one sided here  :D

After a couple of years of trying I have finally managed to persuade by wife to install Peppermint on her PC instead of Win10.  Her PC was starting to really crawl so in the end it was an easy win.  P10 is flying and she absolutely loves it!
