New Users / How to change login background wallpaper (SOLVED)
« on: September 19, 2016, 01:52:21 pm »
Dear peppermint developers,

I would like to start by saying I've been checking out a linux distro every 2-3 years, but whichever one I tried, it was just too rough around the edges and I just couldn't muster the enthusiasm to get into it and make stuff work, since my line of work is very distant from programming. This time, I really think you nailed it guys... Truth be told, I haven't switched to another OS in about a month now and perhaps I won't. However, I am still a complete noob when it comes to using terminal...

Anyway, the problem:
the default login screen is fugly and the way it switches to my desktop wallpaper is even more so. Ideally, I would like the login screen to be the same as my chosen desktop wallpaper, which I keep in my "pictures" folder.

I know it may seem silly, and a purely cosmetic issue, but it goes a long way in terms of building a positive user experience.
Thank you!
