Hi AndyInMokum.
Thanks again for your support and compliment.

I would mark it as [SOLVED] if there was any button or link, but I can't see any of those.
Is it because this one was not a start of a thread but a reply to another thread?
Can you help me?
TIA

Hi dreis911, welcome to our Peppermint Nation  8)!!  In the future when you have an issue, could please start a new thread.  This maintains continuity and makes access to a specific solution much easier for future visitors.  I've split your new topic for you this time.  Many thanks  ;).
Hi AndyInMokum,
Thanks for the welcome compliment.
I'm sorry about the mess but I though it was the same issue.

How come the OS is not receiving the "Fn" + "bright" command and receives all the other "Fn" commands?
And this issue is not alone!
In parallel to it, and related to it, the power control doesn't dim the light, saving power.
As bondbelgium posted, in PM4 this was working fine!
What went wrong or changed to PM5?
The power tuning was the thing that attracted me most to this distro of Linux and now I don't have it!

Hi there.
I'm new into this.... and, just installed PM5 and I have the exact same problem mentioned in the 1st post.
I have a SONY VAIO VPCW21S1E, which is a Netbook (Atom based).
I don't think there's any upgrade of BIOS for this model.
Can anyone help me/us?
Thank you in advance.
