I've tried changing themes. No theme changes that top black bar. Haven't tried WM. Will give that a try. Thanks for suggestions.

I find the icons hard to see on a black background. Is it possible to change? If so, how? Thank you

try right clicking the icon on the panel and open properties then do a manual search for your city or nearest capital so it will pick up your time zone manually. mine never works properly unless i set it up that way

Thanks Rayzer. Have already done that and doesn't work for me  :'(. Also tried  emptying Timezone field and that didn't help either.

I found this topic in the Xfce-forum:

It seems like the plugin is not using the correct local time (but UTC) and the bug has been reported over a year ago.

Just a quick one. The  Xfce4 panel weather plugin day night symbol is out of sync i.e. I get sun in the evening and moon during the day. Is there a way to rectify please?
