This is for any one that that want to try out, woks better with dark themes like the default Arc-Red-Dark

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1FFskPycPO9Flaj9dTc6EsRsoucbprN37

Copy the gtk.css file to HOME/.config./gtk-3.0/

open terminal and use the following cmd to refresh(no need to logout this way):

Code: [Select]
xfce4-panel -r

NOTE: If you have gtk.css file already there i don't know how to help you.

Feel free to move if this should be on user submitted user tutorials.

Ok i updated the whisker menu by adding the repository installing  the whisker menu plugin and then removing the repository, it as some new layout option but can't find nothing more.

What ppa did you use?

hi, sorry for late reply, i used this

Code: [Select]
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gottcode/gcppa

then:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt update

and last:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt install xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin

or after doing the first step  go into the updates manager and refresh whisker menu plugin should appear to update, i only installed that and then removed the repository.

I dindt tried but i think if you go here and download the .deb package correspondent to Ubunto would work also:
https://software.opensuse.org/download/package?package=xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin&project=home%3Agottcode

Dam looks very cool .VinDSL

As seen the picture bellow whisker menu plugin installed is 2.1.5

Current release is at 2.4.2 with new options, how to update/install correctly or it doesn't worth updating for now?

:)Final UPDATE;)  : my problem was solved after running into posts dating back to 2012 when there was a problem with dnsmasq, thing is i didnt had it installed and neither dnsmasq-base, so installed both of them not sure wich one fixed just know one runs as system daemon while the other cant.

Glad i didnt gave up, back on my fav distro peppermint and the tip stays for any that might have the same problem.

See if you need dnsmasq and dnsmasq-base.

Hi, im back just modified the instructions hope its more clear, i ended lefting the old one for root also but on a spoiler and advising to do the command line option instead. Feel free to edit if needed.

15
Thank you both, about that command line wasnt aware of it, anyway im a noob myself have alot to learn and that sure is a safer way to edit the root file.
Constructive criticism is always welcome, ill edit the topic later with your tip since im on the phone now.
