Hardware / Battery status on Macbook Air
« on: February 12, 2020, 06:10:02 pm »
I have Peppermint 10 installed on a 2011 Macbook Air. I have noticed that the battery status icon in the panel correctly reports fully charged when my charger LED turns green, so good there. However the status reads "Fully charged (94%)". This is a brand new battery. The first week or so it reported 100% on a full charge. With the original battery it reported Fully charged at 89%. Any idea what's going on?

Software & Applications / Re: Firefox resize bug?

I think I was not clear. After customizing Firefox to remove the title bar I can still snap the window left and right. But I cannot resize the snapped window horizontally using the window border. It works fine with the title bar enabled.

I noticed that when I disable the title bar in Firefox via the customize menu, resizing works fine in a normal window. But when I snap the window left or right I can no longer resize. Is this a bug?

Yes, this worked.
Code: [Select]
synclient VertScrollDelta=-48

I added the following to /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/70-synaptics.conf at it seems to work great:

Code: [Select]
Option "VertScrollDelta" "-250"

New Users / Trackpad scrolling on Macbook Air (SOLVED)
« on: December 20, 2019, 04:49:28 pm »
First I'll mention that the live boot environment is very impressive on my 2011 Macbook Air. I chose Peppermint due to it's lean memory requirements and fact that my MBA only has 2GB of RAM, which is soldered in.

The only issue I have so far is that I cannot find an option to reverse the direction of the Two Finger Vertical Scrolling feature for the trackpad. Not a deal killer, but annoying for anyone coming from MacOS.

Any solution?
