Hardware / Bllettooth speaker inconvinience
« on: April 10, 2020, 11:12:28 am »
Hi all My bluetooth adapter connects with no problem and selecting headphone as source makes the speaker work but each time I turn on the speaker I have to go into bluetooth config to reset it, it always resets to serial is there any way to fix this or even better to let it automatically detect when the speaker is turned on?

Ah now it makes sense the previous backup I used was created with deja vue on KDE  neon so it must have restored the desktop folders from there ok no problem I'll just delete them thanks for your help :)

I didn't create the "home" folder it was part of the installation ls ~/Desktop | grep desktop returns Home.desktop

For some reason the desktop home folder refuses to work, I've compared the file with the one on my Kubuntu installation and the only differences I can see is the line URL[$e]=$HOME in not colour coded like the other lines and the icon is called Home.desktop something it refuses to allow me to change to Home. any ideas how to fix this? thanks in advance :)

ii  darktable                                     2.4.2-1                                         amd64        virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers

But I think I may have found the problem after installing peppermint I used an old backup to repopulate the hard drive and
there were some old darktable config file on that, I think that could be causing the problem so I intend to uninstall darktable delete that folder and try again

Installed from a thumbdrive only issue was after booting to the start screen the keyboard was inactive, had to wait for it to timeout and boot but other than that went smootly

Used to run Win 7 then Win 10 made it unusable even with double ram so changed to KDE neon now Peppermint 10 very fast even on a twin core 4G machine

Software & Applications / Problems with darktable installation
« on: May 21, 2019, 07:49:59 am »
My first attempt was with apt-get install which worked but no icon in the menu meaning I could only launch it from either the command line or the software manager so I tried to reinstall with both software manager and synaptic same result, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with synaptic (software manager seems a tad clunky) but with the same result. Any ideas? thanks in advance :)
