Hi. I'm afraid I don't know how to boot the previous kernel. Can you help me with that? Thanks.

Advanced Topics / Screen went blank after changing resolutions (SOLVED)
« on: August 03, 2019, 09:04:14 pm »
Hi All.

I recently changed my screen resolution using the Peppermint Control Center, but it caused the screen to go black. When I reset it boots but then it goes to the black screen. I am able to use the command line page with control alt F1. I tried using the xrandr command to change the resolution back, but it gives the response can not display. Any ideas on how I can change the resolution back? Or how can I fix xrandr? Thanks.

GNU/Linux Gaming / Any thoughts on Stadia?
« on: June 24, 2019, 03:57:26 pm »
I know its a Google product, so there are several caveats, but I do think that a streaming game service could go a long way towards gaming on Linux. Any thoughts? Anyone else thinking about getting Stadia?

Software & Applications / WWE Network Not Loading (SOLVED)

Hi All,

Any WWE fans here? If  so maybe you can help me. I'm trying to watch the WWE Network on Peppermint 9 but the program gets stuck on a buffering screen. I have tried using FireFox and Chrome, and I have updated both browsers and updated Flash, but no improvement. Any ideas on what causes this? Any solutions Thanks in advance.

Hello. Actually I've been getting this for a couple of days now. Not just with the SSB though. Whenever I close any instance of Firefox, the crash reporter pops up seconds after. Also, when I tried to deactivate the sync feature, it gets stuck. Any tips. Thank you.

General Discussion / Re: The 'obligatory' forum members Introduction topic

Hello All,

My name is Jon, and I thought I would sign up for the forum since I'm probably going to be asking for help. I'm completely new to Linux. One of the main reasons I'm using Linux now is because I am studying cybersecurity in school, and getting experience helps. As for Peppermint, I was looking for a distro that would help me get my feet wet, and I saw some good reviews for Peppermint. What really clinched it was seeing the extremely helpful installation guide, and the forums.

So far, I am pleased with how Peppermint has been running. I installed it on a 10 year old laptop and it basically works like new. I look forward to posting here and using Peppermint going forward.
