Had a similar issue I fixed mine by changing the Customize Look and Feel  Settings - go to Peppermint Settings Panel click on Customize Look and Feel and change it to a  Peppermint-(Color)- Light and see if that makes a difference
I have solved the problem. Thanks Lord Rodin a lot. We did change the "Widget" from "dark" to light. That's all.

Does running this in a terminal start it with the correct theming

at the comand propt then press return.

Please post back any errors.

Hi again

Go to Menu Settings and open Menu editor

In Menu Editor, Expand the Office category and click on WPS Spreadsheet

Change the command from /usr/bin/et %f to 
Code: [Select]
/usr/bin/et -style gtk2 %f
Click on the next item e.g. WPS Writer and a box will pop up where you can click on Save

Hi everyone,
I'm now using peppermint os 9. I have just installed wps office but I don't like the spreadsheet background color which is gray. I want to change it to white color but I don't know how.
I tried with some suggestions form askubuntu but it doesn't work for me.
Please help.
