Thank you very much. My touchpad is working again.

Hardware / Touchpad not working w/P10 -- SOLVED
« on: August 23, 2019, 05:07:56 am »
I need help getting my touchpad to work. I can't remember when it last worked. I recently upgraded to P10 and hoped that would fix it, but no joy. During the login screen the touchpad does work, but stops after login. Any help would be appreciated. Here are my specs.

Are you running
Code: [Select]
rm -rv ~/.cache/mintinstallwith mintinstall CLOSED ?
Yes. I can't get mintinstall to start. I tried re-installing mintinstall but that didn't help.

I've been getting the same error, but this solution did not work for me. Is there something else I could try?

See if (with mintinstall closed, try running:
Code: [Select]
rm -rv ~/.cache/mintinstallnow see if it works.

Hardware / Re: Wireless printer without a router
« on: October 05, 2018, 06:18:53 pm »
It's a Express 2820DW. I can print with a USB cable, but there are two of us in the RV. It would be easier with wireless. And, I don't have a Windows machine.

Hardware / Wireless printer without a router

In my RV I get my internet access from the campground I'm staying at wirelessly. I have no router, but I want to connect with my Samsung printer. It has wireless capabilities, but no control panel. I'm thinking a ad hoc connection would do it, but I haven't found any instructions for my situation. They all dealt with sharing a wired connection at the computer. Has anyone else tried this and been able to get it to work?

Software & Applications / Chromium not recognized as choice for ICE
« on: August 21, 2018, 08:22:10 am »
Chromium is installed as a snap. I think that is causing it to not be recognized as a choice when creating a SSB. Only Fire Fox is available. Is there a way to get the ICE program to recognize Chromium as a choice?

New Users / Re: Need help using menu-less Firefox

Top left of the page is 3 horizontal lines.  Click on that and it will bring up a menu to navigate around Google docs.  If you right click on a page, you get the option to go backwards and forwards one page.  Other than that there is not much else to do in Google.

On my pages at the top left is the Firefox logo. Right clicking a page brings up a menu, but no navigation links. If I'm in a spreadsheet the right-click menu is related to the spreadsheet only.

New Users / Need help using menu-less Firefox

I've just started using Peppermint 9 32 bit on a Lenovo SL500 ThinkPad. I've not used web apps such as the ICE apps and I'm having issues learning how to navigate a Firefox page without the usual navigation tools such as previous page, next page ...etc. For instance, I open my Google Drive site and select a spreadsheet file from a directory. After the file loads I can't see how to get back to my Google Drive folders. Is there a tutorial that will explain how to do this.
