New Users / [Solved] Task bar has vanished
« on: April 30, 2020, 08:06:09 pm »
Hello. I have turned my laptop back on and the task bar is gone.

I cannot reach the package manager to try and resolve this... honestly i think it was my fault as i deleted one of the xfce packages in the software manage.

I am stuck at the main desktop. What do i do?

Im on peppermint ten. Kernel 5.3.0-51 on hp pavillion 17.

I also tried accessing synaptic package manager through terminal but it said that i couldnt make any changes.

Could not download all repository indexes

The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and ensure the repository address in the preferences is correct.

The repository 'cdrom://Peppermint 9 (20180621) - Release amd64 bionic Release' does not have a Release file.

Is everything all right? what does this mean? (in laymen terms)
hear is this if neccesary.

New Users / Newbie assistance
« on: June 23, 2018, 07:03:14 pm »
I was downloading a package (manuskript-0.6.0-1.deb) with the Gdebi package installer. The package was successful and can open and be used. But the installer window will not close and nothing on that window can be clicked on and is greyed. The minimize, and expand functions work but the closes function does nothing. What do I do when something like this happens?

Computer is a hp pavilion 17 i can give more info if that is the problem. Thanks for you time and help.
