I remember I had the same problem once when I disabled secure boot to enable proprietry drivers when installing Peppermint 9 Respin. When I rebooted after install was finished I got the same black screen with only flashing cursor. Installed it with secure boot enabled and when I rebooted I could log in.

No. HP All in one.

I never do it that way. I always install the latest release. I treid to upgrade Peppermint 10 Respin from Bionic Beaver to Focal Fossa the Debian way and for me it didn't work that well. It upgraded to Focal Fossa, but Peppermint PPA was gone, icons were gone in Nemo, only O's instead of for instance the house icon for Home.

offtopic, but still worth trying. It's called TLP:

Installation / upgrade Peppermint from bionic beaver to focal fossa
« on: July 23, 2020, 08:11:00 am »
The Feren OS dev posted this in one of EB's live streams to upgrade Peppermint 10 Respin from bionic beaver to focal fossa:

sudo sed -i 's/bionic/focal/g' /etc/apt/sources.list; sudo sed -i 's/bionic/focal/g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list; sudo sed -i 's/deb/#deb/g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list

sudo apt update; sudo apt dist-upgrade -y

It worked in a virtual box EB was using, but according to Feren the above command disables the Peppermint PPA and makes it inaccessible, technically, since it changes the codename to 'focal'. What does this mean or do when the Peppermint PPA is inaccessible? And do you think this will work?

Can't help him much either :'( The ipleak link won't open with Firefox. To make a snapshot I thought you could use Timeshift now on Peppermint? :-\ Microsoft Word can be use online I think?

Although I can't wait for Peppermint 11 to come out, I don't mind the waiting because Pepp 10 will work till 2023 ;)

Default Pepp 10 Respin Arc-red-dark theme is perfect, for me ;) Light themes I don't care about because I don't use them, but he's right the fonts are harder to see.

@rayzer: But then you can't use the superkey to open the menu. There is an option to enable it though if I remember correctly :-\
