Installation / Re: "user" and "exit" buttons disable on start menu

Did you keep a home partition/folder from a previous distro/version ?

Anyway, try this...

Right-click on the "Menu" button, select "Properties" then select the "Commends" tab.

Then make the commands read:-

☑ All Settings: peppermint-settings-panel
☑ Lock Screen: lxlock
☑ Switch User: dm-tool switch-to-greeter
☑ Log Out: peppermint-logout
☐ Edit Applications: <leave this blank, DO NOT attempt to use Menulibre in Peppermint 8, it WILL break the menus>
☑ Edit Profile: users-admin

No. I have erased all the partitions from my old installed distro.

I have done exatcly as you said and again...PERFECT!  :D

Both buttons became again active!

Thank you once for for the excellent tip!

Installation / video problems after installedpepermint 8
« on: June 13, 2018, 01:00:46 pm »
Hello all members,
i have recently installed pepermint 8 on my old Asus eee PC 901.

All went ok and the installation was finished without any problem.

After the 1st system update that i made to it immediatly after the 1st boot im getting a strange desktop screen... seems tha almost all the left side of it is "dead"...just a small part of the right side is normal...as you can see on the 1st foto. Despite this...all the system seems to be working normally.

Another strange issue is that if i connect an external monitor/tv...the situation became normal...and stays ok even when i disconnect the external monitor. This is showed on the 2nd foto.

Can someone please give me any tip about what could might origin this problem and how to solve it?

Thanks in advance...

Cheers
