Maybe it's vlc? it runs funny anyways I kinda want to see what works best with slimjet anyway vlc, chrome and slimjet do not mix well does straight from the dvd/cdrom but not good for anything else I've noticed it isn't there a better one?!! Jus sayin!

You know who this is...its Pix lol ok problem computer I'm  on is old but not as old as mine it's a Toshiba Satellite not mine but the sound kept clipping out on windows 7 and it just ran to crappy for anything so he had me load Pep 8 cuz mine is running so way better!!! Roommate-go figure. So I did the sound was working great not one problem until he tried to watch a youtube video slimjet is the browser he uses he and I both HATE chromium anyway sound went out never came back on...sent a copy of this to youtube they said they can't help me I'd have to go to Peppermint forum its not the wifi connection he was using since I hard wired it in to run this test to see if he'd clip out oh and my bluetooth headset connects and works-no clipouts but a headset plugged in doesn't work, it makes the speakers come back on until now this was the debug report I got back.....

 8) Yes! So glad I stuck with Peppermint! It's so much faster on this old thing! And I have 2 back ups....one on usb stick one on cdrom. Not going through this again! And thanks again guys!!! I could NOT have done it without you that is for sure! My bluetooth headset did not work on 7 but it does on 8 on this old thing!!! It's a new toy and it works but the wifi doesn't so I have to stay hardwired but that was a problem the last time on 7 also but when I walk to the bathroom now my computer shuts down so I'm guessing I don't have the "distance" set right 40 so the length of the house was underestimated at least from my "gamer's station"-"office"to the back of the house. I still have little tweaks...like on my vlc media player and a few others but for the most part it's running great!! Again....spence....pin...all of you thanks so much!!! This experience just gained Peppermint 8 4 new clients they're bringing their laptops here for me to do the work on but I made them all get usb sticks that were ready already I'm not going through all that again either so that's 5 Peppermint 8s to install now in the next 3 days....should be fun!  :-* Thanks again all of you!!! you made this so much easier on me!!!!

7
Yes, and so do you guys!!!!! This isn't the first time and I'm almost sure it won't be the last....but no other users on my computer ever!!!!!!

8
:) :D ;D :P so happy!!!! and replying from the new haha and improved Dell D830 I knew there was still some life left in game land on this old thing!!!!!!!

windows 7 but he wants pep 8 on it too after I finish mine...that was the deal, get his playstation fixed and unhacked and security codes set to his by previous owner, get his phone working again and his computer all easy breezy then get mine and pep 8 installed and running then his lol it looks like even getting his on Pep 8 is going to be easy compared to mine

yes I cannot exit grub rescue from a wiped harddrive and I have usb stick that has pep8 on it but reboot then will not install from usb it goes right back to grub  at reboot from either the f12 or f2 and yes it's a dell d830 and everything else worked before the harddrive was wiped. So I would assume it still works. I can stick a dvd in and it tries to run it so it's working and the usb stick worked last time with pep 7 but there was something I had to do to get it to run just like this one I just don't remember what it was and it was in grub rescue, but under windows xp then it was easier
