Can you give us a qt app (preferably without too many dependencies) that you know  incorrectly .. so we can test ?

My guess is this will be the

font="Ubuntu,24,-1,5,63,1,0,0,0,0"

line in one of these files

~/.config/Trolltech.conf
/etc/xdg/Trolltech.conf
/usr/share/mime/text/vnd.trolltech.linguist.xml
/usr/share/peppermint/qt/Trolltech-qt-session.conf
/usr/share/peppermint/qt/Trolltech.conf
Sorry for the long delay, it has been a hectic month.  I do no see or have that line or even the files you reference.  Not sure what to do next.

Edit:  This issue also exists with VLC.

Well, I finally found the time to read the entire thread and the font you refer to does not exist in any of the files referenced.  Further, I was surprised to see kde 4 QT in a few of them.

Sorry for the long delay, but it has been a hectic month.

~/.config/Trolltech.conf
/etc/xdg/Trolltech.conf
/usr/share/mime/text/vnd.trolltech.linguist.xml
/usr/share/peppermint/qt/Trolltech-qt-session.conf
/usr/share/peppermint/qt/Trolltech.conf

Sorry for the delay, it has been a busy week.  Three apps for some reason with small fonts are Kwrite, Kate and Qbittorrent.  There is a plugin to normalize the issue, I just can't remember what it is.

Thanks.

I think the last issue re: the XFCE interface is the smallish fonts on QT apps.  No clue how to proceed but I have a feeling this is an easy fix.

Thanks in advance.

No problem, can you please remember to mark the topic solved by appending (SOLVED) to the end of the suject line in the FIRST posting in this topic.

TIA :)
It isn't solved.  I just noticed my time hasn't changed.  Any ideas?

Edit:  I think it is solved, now, maybe.  %a %b %d, %Y   %I:%M:%S %p.  I am going to hold off marking this solved for an hour.

There is  NO separate DATE field in the clock on the xfce4-panel .. those strings go under:-

Clock Options
Format: Custom Format
[string goes in this box, that appears when you choose "Custom Format" above]

in the clocks preferences page.

Ah I got it.  This is what I did:  %a %b %d, %Y   %I:%R %p giving me 'Tue Aug 30, 2016  02:14:50 PM.'

Thanks.

I can't believe this is stumping me.  I don't see any option in the XFCE Panel or Orage to insert the date.  There is a choice to configure the time format.  What am I missing?

I have used Unity, Gnome 3.20, Cinnamon, Plasma 5 and Budgie with no issue inserting the date to the right of the time..  I just don't see it.  Yikes.

Hi whitehavenchaz

for the date I choose to display
Quote
%a %d %b, %Y

Which gives me Mon 29 Aug, 2016.    If you use %A and %B It will give Monday and August.

or you can simply use
Quote
dd/mm/yyyy
which will give you 29/08/2016.   Remember to leave what is there for the time to show

You can achieve this by right clicking the clock and choose properties (not panel properties) and then either pick an option from the relevant drop down or choose custom and configure it how you wish

Regards Zeb...
I'm not sure what I did to this topic.  Anyway, I can get I Orage to install, which is not what I'm looking for.  I just want the date next to the time which I just I can't get.
Sorry for the forum confusion - I'm not sure what I did.

Artwork, Themes, and Icons / Date Missing? (SOLVED)

Is it possible to add the date next to the time on the menu bar?  I have the time, but no date.

Thanks.

I think I found the answer.  Under Customize Look and Feel I left the theme as Peppermint 7 Dark.  Under Peppermint Control Center I chose default under Window Manager.  There Window Controls can be changed.  What looks the best is 'Default'.  Somewhat bigger which I can live with.  The other choices seem to distort the window title font.  So I'm happy.

I do appreciate the timely responses everyone gave me.

Window decorations are in the Peppermint Control Center

menu > Preferences > Peppermint Control Center

Then change the "Theme" on the "Window Manager" tab
I was hoping to keep Peppermint-7 Dark and just enlarge the Window Decorations.  I suspect this isn't possible?

I'm new to XFCE and can't seem to enlarge the Window Decorations for my old eyes.  Can someone point me in the right direction.  Peppermint 7 is really fast.  I like what I've seen.

Thanks.
