Well back here again.
Was a singlebooter during the early days with Pepp 1 and Black version, good old days.
Must say this version is so beautiful.

Well got myself a refurbed Lenovo Thinkpad Edge from a company, real sturdy and heavy one.
I installed some ram sticks i had around, guess it cant use all 6gb but.

"for emergencies" ?

Heh, you don't hear that much .. I'll keep a copy of Windows around whilst using Linux .. "for emergencies"  :D

We can but try the monitor thingy.

Hahahaha yeah, Linux is usually used as emergency tool =D
i might have invented a meme (my face and a win cd and text saying for emergencies said no one ever) :D

IIRC, a vm is rubbish for gaming.

Most games use directx to directly access the hardware .. this would be impossible in a VM

If you want to run Windows software .. run it natively on metal.

But my solution would be .. if it's not Linux native, find something that is ;)

Windows users don't buy a Mac to run the occasional OS X only app .. they use what's natively available ;)

Ahh well theres always something holding me back hehe, how does Crossover handle DirectX? possible at all

Yeah true, but as i understand it the Wine devs are the ones working on Crossover (their way of getting some cash)
And tbh it should work alot better than Wine but, i might giev the trial a spin once im on Linux.

*got 8gb ram so a Vm could work aswell for gaming.

Thanks for the input

ah ok cheers  ;)
