Yes I been playing with colours in peppermint  settings panel/user/customize loot and feel colour

Going for the back and purple but some applications are not changing, yes I've reverted back to the beginning and started again. But they are staying grey..

Playing with the colours etc, and found this issue with all the peppermint stuff.

Ice, whisker menu, Bluetooth, peppermint control center and probably others. Is there another setting I've overlooked?

TIA

Been and done the beginning, would not boot just got a black screen.

So did a boot restore. Still would not boot correctly, was loading grub then did it's tests as you can see in the photo. Then it gave me a blank screen for about 30min? So I rebooted, it then gave me a log in page but would not load the user interface and got the back screen again, so waited for about another 30mins, and rebooted again and I finally there!

But can't update, chromium will not open, when starting the software manager from the menu, it says failed to run mintinstall as user root. Unable to copy the user's Xauthorization file.

So far Goole has not found a solution.

Would just reinstall but would need to download android source code again as was starting to play. Had got as far as downloading. Might have something to do with it?

TIA

Thanks that worked.

It crashed while I was trying to type this the 1st time! Trying to reboot again...

Got to this point due to trying to do an update via update manager. It came up with unable to download some packages do you want to quit or something like that, I clicked no, it still going an hour later, but found I had an issue with only having a read only file system...

Now my question is help!!!

Has this happened due to to the update? Or something else?

TIA

Install Peppermint 8 on my old drive all was working fine.
Had to remove the drive to sort out my old drive a peppermint 7 had decided not to boot so took the opportunity to change to peppermint 8.

Now returning to the other drive it came up with the initramfs, so did a boot repair from a live disc see http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/KHjRv4gY3f/

But is now also giving this...

Any help would be greatly appreciated
TIA

Hi thanks for the reply @PCNetSpec

I've got GIMP installed just need to have a play and work it out.

I've also got LibreOffice but to play will have a go later I'll also have a look at the others you've suggested. to be fair I'm trying to move a way from Microsoft due to all the issues I've been having lately  >:(
