Installation / upgrade Peppermint from bionic beaver to focal fossa
« on: July 23, 2020, 08:11:00 am »
The Feren OS dev posted this in one of EB's live streams to upgrade Peppermint 10 Respin from bionic beaver to focal fossa:

sudo sed -i 's/bionic/focal/g' /etc/apt/sources.list; sudo sed -i 's/bionic/focal/g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list; sudo sed -i 's/deb/#deb/g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list

sudo apt update; sudo apt dist-upgrade -y

It worked in a virtual box EB was using, but according to Feren the above command disables the Peppermint PPA and makes it inaccessible, technically, since it changes the codename to 'focal'. What does this mean or do when the Peppermint PPA is inaccessible? And do you think this will work?

Advanced Topics / Capslock
« on: October 05, 2019, 07:10:39 am »
Hi all,

I added setxkbmap -option caps:none in Autostart to kill Capslock, but after almost every new kernel update Capslock is back on, but it's still in Autostart. Is there a way to kill capslock permanantly? I hate Capslock and never use it. Thanks in advance.
