Title: Problems with Suspend Peppermint 10
Post by: laserguru on February 23, 2020, 12:31:42 pm
I recently installed Peppermint OS 10 to an SSD on my workstation.  I find that after it wakes from suspend access to the network adapter and the ability to reboot from the menu is lost.  I says there is already a reboot or suspend operation in progress.  I have tried many things to restart networking and all the works is to shutdown from the command line.  I have been running Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 LTS on this same hardware without any sleep or suspend issues.
Along with the other 18.04 LTS install on this workstation I have various distro flavors based on 18.04 LTS running on several laptops and a couple of servers and this is the only install exhibiting the issue.  I think it may be Peppermint OS specific.

The simple workaround is to disable suspend, but I would like to reduce power usage overnight without having to do a full shutdown.

My system is:

Peppermint 10
Kernel: 5.3.0-40-generic
CPU: AMD FX-8350 on a BIOSTAR TA990FXE motherboard
RAM 20GB
GPU: NVidia GTX 670 with Nvidia driver 435
Network:  Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 v2.0 Gigabit Ethernet

Hi friend, your problem is weird but not vital, I dont understand WHY, there are persons that dont care about their electricity consumption, men, you OUGHT TO shutdown your pc each time you arent using it.. if you dont shutdown your PC during days or even weeks it is pretty clear that your problem can be caused for that.
