Post by: rayzer on January 17, 2020, 07:07:44 am
peppermint updated to the 5.3.0-26 kernel and on reboot my dkms driver no longer works. tried reinstalling the driver offline as i normally do but no use. rolled back to 5.0.0-37 and its working fine there. is there any known bugs and should i just wait it out for the next update.

You don't seem to be alone in having this issue:

Do you mind posting which exact version of the Broadcom driver you're using?

Thanks.

previously, forum member @Dave-D got it to work this way:

Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get remove --purge bcmwl-kernel-source
sudo apt-get install linux-firmware-nonfree

let us know if it works for you @rayzer

 ;)
