Changes (from Peppermint 10):-

1) All 18.04 base updates to 10 December 2019, including the 5.0.0-37 kernel and HWE xorg stack, nvidia-435, Firefox 71, etc.

2) Added a 'Cursor Resizer' GUI utility to the settings panel.

3) Added a 'Web Browser Manager' GUI utility to aid with the installation/removal of some of the more common web browsers.

4) Reverted to an earlier 'xenial' version of pulseadio-equalizer.

5) Added a Peppermint 6 (LXDE) style xfpanel-switch profile which swaps out the whiskermenu for an old-school hierarchical menu.

6) Added arc-color gtk themes (new multi-colored Gtk themes built from the well known and respected Arc theme), and switched to Arc-Red-Dark as the system default.

7) Updated the default icon theme with some new icons (including the new Firefox/Thunderbird icons).

8.) Fixed a bug where scrolling wasn't working when using some integrated thinkpad trackpoint devices.

9) Installed p7zip-full out of the box.

10) Fixed a bug in ICE that stopped mouse access to the very top part of the screen that caused the toolbar of some web-apps (such as the 'Editor by Pixlr' SSB) to be inaccessible.

11) Fixed unattended-upgrades to work properly in Peppermint. This not installed by default but will now work as expected should the user decide to install it.

12) Firefox and Thunderbird theme locks updated to work with the new default theme.

13) Advert Blocker now includes more hosts file blocklist options.

14) Replaced the 2 current solitaire SSB's with a single new one.

15) Added a DLNnetwork SSB.

16) Added a Pinball SSB.

17) Rearranged items in the Peppermint Settings Panel to include the new 'Cursor Resizer' and 'Web Browser Manager' utilities. We've also (by request) removed the 'Dropbox' item from the settings panel, dropbox-nemo is still installed by default (and accessible via the main menu) but should the user decide to uninstall it, it will now not stay in the settings panel.

We hope you enjoy using the Peppermint 10 Respin as much as we did making it, and PLEASE HELP SEED THE TORRENTS .. TIA :)

There is no need for anyone who's already running Peppermint 10 to upgrade to Peppermint 10 Respin .. In a few days I'll post instructions on how to manually upgrade PM10 --> PM10R.

The arc-color gtk themes are terrific.  Wow!  They bring Firefox's icon to life.    PCNetSpec, as always, you did a masterful job on the repspin.  Thanks so much.   It flies on our computer here.  :)

will the upcoming upgrade to this remove stuff or just add to whats already installed? have a bunch of custom launchers and applications installed and wouldnt like to see them removed.
looks like the wifi issue ive been having still persists but not too worried as i can fix that easily, dunno what watt os has added to its image because it loads my wifi without any effort whereas most distros dont.
either way good work on the respin :)

The upcoming manual upgrade instructions won't remove anything, it'll just add the new bits
(it will uninstall the pulseaudio-equalizer, and reinstall a different version, but that's it as far as changing stuff that's already installed)

Okay, after watching EB's video and seeing that the "Browser Manager" wasn't loading when clicked inside the settings panel (it did work from the main menu), I've pushed an update .. peppermint-setting-panel_10.0.0.4 .. that fixes the issue.

My fault, when making the icons local and removing the script that downloaded them, I forgot to point the settings panel at the new script (https://vrcp.ru/smiles/light/ah.gif)

Well done Team Peppermint!!!
Flawlessly installed Pepp 10 Respin on Gnome Boxes to test it out.
Works great out of the box!
Even had fun playing Pinball.
Now awaiting the upgrade instructions to use on Pepp 10 installed on a laptop.
Great job y'all.

Congrats to the Peppermint Team for the nice work done. I moved to Peppermint a few months ago and I'm still here :)
Peppermint has stopped my search of the perfect Linux distro. I installed it on a 16Gb USB stick (just as other distros I was trying) and it's still plugged on my Vaio laptop since then. Even my HP scanjet G3110, that stopped working when win10 arrived, is now working again. So I will anxiously wait for the respin upgrade.
Keep up the good work and Merry Christmas to everybody!.

It does NOT use flatpak or snap .. all browsers are installed as .deb's

I can see no reason it shouldn't work in PM9, but I make no guarantees (because it's not been tested there) .. if you want to give it a try, you can download the .deb here:
https://launchpad.net/~peppermintos/+archive/ubuntu/p10-respin/+files/peppermint-browser-manager_0.0.1.2_all.deb

I also did not expect that this came as a pkg manager download "box", so i saved it right next to the "xenial" equalizer box pkg as well.

Thank you so much Mr. Greaves.

I am just kinda blown away right now and i will play with it a little later.

Happy Christmas to you and thanks,

Th e Omen

Good to know it works in PM9, but any problems with Chrome/Chromium once installed are not something we can deal with I'm afraid.

Thank you again, I have been playing with some of the browsers from the web manager and it is working perfectly on my P9 respin 2.

Brave browser has updated for me here as well with version from chromium 79 and has gone from 1.1.22 to 1.1.23 and freeze ups are all gone now.

I already did know that the browser problem had nothing to do with Peppermint, I just had to wait for them to update the fix is all.

Happy Christmas and Warm Regards to all,

The Omen

There will be soon, keep an eye on the forum for instructions how to manually update PM10 to PM10R

I was hoping to get them out by now, but I seem to have a return of the dreaded backache .. it's not that bad in it's own right, but it's been keeping me awake for the last few days, so as you can imagine I'm not bursting with energy at the moment.

Soon, I promise...

Backache is a pain, excuse the obvious please? Don't mean to be so silly, but I have suffered in the past too. My backache always goes to the bottom left side where kidneys are and it is excruciating, unbearable. Usually I can take pain, as I take after my mother in that regard and it takes a lot to make me cry or to the point where I can't take no more, before I need to take pain killers, but this when it flares up is just too much. I hope you feel better soon Mark, plenty of rest and put a pillow or cushion between the backs of your knees when you're in bed, it alleviates pressure on your back. I got told this from my other half a week after meeting her and she always makes sure I have a pillow or cushion behind my knees.  :)

Cheers clatterfordslim.

Feeling a 'little' better today, it's still there but now more of an annoying ache than a sharp pain (guess the pain killers are finally doing something) .. in any case I managed to get a bit of sleep last night so don't feel so damn drained which was the thing getting me down :)

back pain sucks, my shoulders and hips are goosed too due to being knocked down yrs ago. love the relief when a back/shoulder crack goes right. i find sleeping on a hard surface with no pillows helps me a lot, not into the painkiller thing at all. either way leave the updates wait til youre good and ready :)

i just wanna say big thanks to the peppermint-team!
pepp 10r is awesome...
after over one year without pepp, it feels like coming home...
o.k., the font-config is bad (pepp 8 config is much better / the best i see), and the automount-feature is gone...
but i can fix that for me...
anyway...
the look and feel is fantastic (the theme, icons and wallpaper which you can choose from are perfect)...

i'm shocked about the sad news about Mark...  :o  :'(
hope this is not the end of peppermint...  :(

but...
great job! good work! thank you so much!
