Title: Terminator terminal window and the new website
Post by: AndyInMokum on March 27, 2014, 05:22:43 am
I use Terminator as my default terminal window.  I just like being able to have multiple panels in one window.  I noticed in this lovely shinny new forum that there is a nice little facility above codes that are submitted.: Code: [Select]. Clicking the [Select] highlights the submitted code.  If you have Terminator installed, you can drag and drop the highlighted code straight into the Terminator window.  Its like they were made for each other.  Very nice indeed.

If anyone is interested, Terminator is in the repositories.  To install it, open a terminal: Ctrl+Alt+t.  Enter the following command:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install terminator -y
Hit enter and do the password thing if asked.  I guess the update bit might be a bit redundant for PM4 users  ;).  That's it.  Enjoy the very cool Terminator.  Have fun   :)!

I like Terminator and that's a nice option.

You can also insert code directly into lxterminal by highlighting [Select] and then middle-click / wheel-click in the terminal window (no drag-n-drop, though).

Good post / info.  :)
