Title: (SOLVED) Right-click on desktop menu not appearing
Post by: UUUnicorn on August 24, 2014, 11:02:03 am
Hello, how're you?

I am new to Peppermint OS. Hi, ev'ryone.

I have found an issue with my installation of Peppermint OS 5 32-bit--when I try right-clicking on the desktop, no menu appears. Please, is this normal for this distribution?   ???

Thank you very much in advance for any and all advice and help!

Sincerely,

UUUnicorn

Not it's NOT normal.

Go to
menu > Preferences > Desktop Preferences > Advanced (tab)

and make sure there is NO tick in "Show menus provided by window manager when desktop is clicked"

Do you get a right-click menu now ?

You didn't keep your home folder from a previous installation did you ?

Thank you, thank you, thank you very much! Now I have the menu back when I right-click on the desktop!

In reply to the very last question you asked, the answer is "No" (no, I did not keep my Home folder from a previous installation).

Hi UUUnicorn, welcome to the Peppermint forum  ;)!! That's great new's. The right click stuff is kind of useful  ;D.   Could you please remember to mark the topic as, [SOLVED] in the subject line of the original post.  Many thanks  ;).
