SSD's are truly a pioneering invention, but looking at that video, the people that made the tech to make these SSD's is truly remarkable too, plus programming the computer to make or do the individual jobs, each machine does to make end product. Amazing.  ;D

Thanks for sharing, I want to get one within the next few months.

Not sure if I need to do anything special to it for it to not wear out quicker than normal.

Generally there's now nothing special you need to do, just get the biggest SSD you can afford and DON'T FILL IT UP.

Automatic wear levelling routines in the firmware should ensure it won't wear out prematurely .. but this works only where there is free space. Filling an SSD is a sure fire way of thwarting wear levelling and prematurely wearing out the drive.
