Title: Lenovo Yoga 720 12-inch touch-screen with Peppermint 9
Post by: xvc on November 28, 2018, 09:07:09 am
Hi, guys,

I am considering to get my wife Lenovo Yoga 720 touch-screen laptop as an upgrade for her iPad.

Does anyone have any experience with this device and Peppermint 9?

How is the touch-screen? Is it easy to activate an on-screen keyboard?

Is this a good to use combo for a technically non-savy user?

Thank you. in advance,

xvc

There seems to b e some evidence that it'll work under Ubuntu 18.04 (and therefore probably Peppermint 9), but you may have to update the UEFI BIOS and switch the disk controller from RAID mode to AHCI mode:

Be aware, switching to AHCI mode will make the pre-installed Windows OS unbootable .. so if you're planning on dual-booting, you're going to need to reinstall Windows again too, so it'd be a good idea to extract the Windows key FIRST.
