Title: Switch User -- enter password twice
Post by: Superannuated on August 02, 2018, 02:43:37 pm
I recently installed Peppermint 9 as the sole OS on a ThinkPad X240 and created two user accounts. After clicking on Switch User the Login Window comes up (as it should). When the user wants to reopen his account he has to enter his password (as he should because it is set to be required for login). The surprise it that a locked screen comes up and the password has to be entered a second time to resume the account.

Is there a way to avoid the necessity of entering the user password twice?

[Note: As a new user I have some other questions that I'll post in separate threads. I hope that is the best way.]

Hi Superannuated,

Correct: that is the best way (one issue per thread).

Interestingly, if I switch users from the panel Menu button using the direct Switch Users icon then I don't have to enter my password twice. However, if I first select the Log Out icon followed by the Switch User selection then I do have to enter my password twice.
