Title: Control panels on multiple monitors
Post by: alynur on July 08, 2018, 04:28:33 pm
Hello Peppermint People. I remember reading a little about this a while ago but now I can't find the post. Now that I have a laptop that I can connect to my TV, I have set the external monitor to the right and it all works great. But instead of dragging  stuff to the right, I would much rather have a panel at the bottom of the screen and work with it like that. How do I install that panel on the external monitor?

Hi alynur,

Right click on the current panel and click panel preferences.  When the dialog box opens and it says panel 1 - click +/add and you will have a second panel appear - the dialog boz should now say panel 2.

Simpy drag it into the position / onto the monitor you want and add the items you want to appear on that panel.

Regards Zeb..

Thanks Zeb, I had tried that and that does work but I found that if I add a whisker menu and a directories launch applet to it, anything I open opens in the primary laptop monitor and not the external monitor. Any way to make the external monitor it's separate work station?
