Title: Should I replace this hard drive?

Powered on for 27 years?  Its a Sata hard drive in a laptop.  They don't make them like they used to :)

As long as you have backups and don't put critical data on it....why replace it?  It was meant to be used.  What model drive is it out of curiosity?

I vote to keep it in use as well... as long as it's not a final source for critical backups... my last desktop had drives dating into the early 80's... also curious of the brand

Its a Toshiba.  Strange thing is that Sata hard drives were not introduced until 2003  :-\

They weren't even making 80GB drives 27 years ago. You were lucky to have a single gigabyte in 1991.
