Post by: Tomsonas on January 24, 2018, 09:28:16 am
I have two hard drives on my pc. If I install peppermint os will I get option to install to drive I want? I installed mageia linux and it didn't give me an option to choose drive.

It should give you an option.  (Peppermint, I can't speak for Mageia)  You may have to choose "Something Else" under the install options, to be sure you select the correct drive, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.  It worked for me in past versions, where I had multiple hard drives.

Oh, but I have mageia installed now and I want to replace it. What do I have to do then?

Which drive (sata1 or sata2) do you want to install it on ?

what's on the other disk .. an OS ?

Can you boot to the Peppermint LiveUSB, open a terminal, and post the output from running these commands:
Code: [Select]
sudo fdisk -l
and
Code: [Select]
sudo blkid
so we can get a picture of your current partition layout.
