Title: PostgreSQL - Question [RESOLVED]
Post by: grafiksinc on January 08, 2018, 08:05:50 am
Forum, at my day job I am a .NET developer on the Microsoft stack.  :'(
But since last year I have been working on porting an enterprise .NET application to use a Linux stack.  ;)
With MONO for the.NET and PostgreSql for the database.
To be honest I thought,  it would be more difficult but,  things have been pretty smooth for the port .....no real hard issues we could not overcome.

Anyway  :D,  my question is about "StoredProcedures".
I use them often  in MSSQL but as you know PosgreSql does not have this feature so to speak.
I been out on stack-overflow, PostgreSQL, and a few other site but nothing yet that did a good job explaining the equivalent

If there are any PostgreSql folks on here, I was wondering  if you could  recommend any good links that explains stored procedures equivalent  ;)

If not that is OK too, I just thought I would ask  :)

--Thanks in Advance!

First let me explain I'm NOT a database developer by any stretch of the imagination :)

But this (and the tutorial linked at the bottom) seems to suggest PostgreSQL does support stored procedures:
