Title: Anyone been able to install ToonTown Rewritten on Peppermint?
Post by: PaulWxford on July 14, 2017, 03:08:10 am
Has anyone been able to install ToonTown Rewritten on Peppermint?

I can successfully do it on Linux Mint but I am trying to install it on an older laptop and chose to try out Peppermint because of the great reviews and it being an ideal light OS for the older laptop.

I have tried both ways, using Wine and doing the Linux download options and bouth fail to properly launch correctly.

Seems there's a known issue with their Launcher crashing in 16.04 and apparently they're in no hurry to fix.

But there is a custom launcher called ShtickerBook Rewritten that launches ToonTown Rewtitten that works

You can download the shticker-book-rewritten_1.2.0_amd64.deb file from there:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/madsciencecoder:/shticker-book-rewritten/xUbuntu_16.04/amd64/
or directly from this link:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/madsciencecoder:/shticker-book-rewritten/xUbuntu_16.04/amd64/shticker-book-rewritten_1.2.0_amd64.deb
then just double-click it to install.

You'll then find it in the menu at

Menu > Games > ShtickerBook Rewritten

I just tested it and it worked perfectly :)
