Who cares .. we have PulseAudio :)

I find it odd that people bitch about (or agree with) multiple package formats .. something that's controlled by the Linux distros themselves .. stating how awkward this makes stuff for third party devs, when really the effort required for packaging is pretty trivial, but then moan when a third party dev settles on one sound system which is something they can control themselves and could theoretically save them a ton of work.

If Mozilla want to go with only PulseAudio that's fine by me and perfectly within their rights .. beats the **** out of some of the weird and controlling things Google have done with Chrome/Chromium which have left people with ZERO choice.

I don't see this as any more of a problem than them no longer supporting OSS (open sound system) .. it's not like they've said "we won't support sound in Linux" :-\

Yeah I'd probably be amazingly hypocritical and moan like heck if we didn't .. but then you all knew that, right ? :))
