Title: brtfs query..[solved]
Post by: acer on September 09, 2016, 05:44:11 am
Is it safe to remove the brtfs tools?
How is this done?
is there anything I should be made aware of before doing so?

The file system is the default from live! installation which I think is EXT4
TIA

Unless you specifically chose to use btrfs as the file system during installation (and this wouldn't have happened accidentally) YES it's safe to remove btrfs-tools
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get remove --purge btrfs-tools

Worked a treat and boot-time also quicker,  :)
This command has been added to my compilation of PM7 tweaks for the next two devices, when I have the time.
I seem to be spending more time on PM7 these days than Windoze 7 and enjoying the challenge more..   ;D

thanks again PCNetspec
