Title: Peppermint 6 window decoration
Post by: birkopf on August 21, 2016, 08:27:12 am
Hey,

Where can I find graphics from P6? I wanted to change window decorations in my P7 to P6 looks.

Checked web - nothing
Checked repositories - nothing :(

The Gtk theme from Peppermint 6 was badly broken in Peppermint 7's Gtk 3.18 .. it **may** be possible to get just the window decoration (titlebar and window surround) to work but the rest of the theme most definitely won't.

The theme is in the "peppermint-artwork" package .. but DO NOT attempt to use that entire package from PM6 in PM7, it WILL break your system as it contains a LOT more than just the gtk themes .. instead you'd have to unpack the package and extract just the theme from /usr/share/themes

This whole "look change" went prettttyy well.

Check picture which I attached :)

However, I ended up with black font under icons and white font on start menu. I need it reversed.

There are multiple tutorials advising how to modify code to change colour, but I was wondering if within Peppermint there are settings allowing to change that ?

The menu button font colour can be easily changed, but the font colour underneath icons on the desktop and in nemo are set by the gtk theme.
