Title: Improve font rendering in ubuntu-based distro's with Infinality Fonts
Post by: darknet on October 16, 2015, 02:11:25 pm
How to improve font rendering in Ubuntu based distributions using the Infinality fonts.
To install, open the terminal and add the following line by line:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:no1wantdthisname/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install fontconfig-infinality

After the instalation, reboot the system. There are 2 methods to configure the fonts. For the first, add the following to the terminal:

sudo bash /etc/fonts/infinality/infctl.sh setstyle

after entering your password, select which style you wish to use.

For the second method, enter the following in the terminal:

sudo -H gedit /etc/profile.d/infinality-settings.sh

This will open the settings file with gedit. Scroll to the portion that lists the USE_STYLE. Change the USE_STYLE to the style you wish (options are listed in the file) and save the text file.
