Title: (SOLVED) How to disable Sleep/Hibernate?
Post by: _tuter on January 08, 2015, 12:38:11 pm
Hi all. I am attempting to disable sleep mode in Peppermint OS 5 32 bit. But I can not seem to find where in the settings/PepControl Center. I am wanting my machine to stay on all the time because I am running a Plex media server from it. I am also using Team Viewer 10 to control it. But for what ever reason when it goes to sleep I cannot get it to display on team viewer unless I go to the server and turn it on myself.

Any and all help is GREATLY Appreciated!!

Hi tuter, the settings you are looking for are located in, Light-locker and in the Xfce Power Manager.  Navigate to: menu > Preferences > Light Locker Settings.  In the newly opened window, make sure the two sliders in the, Screensaver section are set to Never.  In the Locking section, make sure, Enable light-locker is set to Off and Automatically lock the session is set to Never.  Click on Apply

In the Xfce Power Manager  Right click on the battery icon in the your panel.  This by default is located in the bottom left hand sector of your screen.  Select, Preferences.  Click on the On AC button in the left hand panel.  Make sure the sliders are set to Nothing under both the, Action and the Monitor tabs.  Click on the, On Battery button and do the same.  The dim screen slider is your choice.  Click on the, Extended button and uncheck the, Lock screen when going for suspend/hibernate.  Click on Close.  I hope this resolves your issue - have fun
