Post by: JoeShmoe on December 06, 2014, 11:11:20 am
I have Peppermint 5 on an re-purposed Asus Eee netbook, standard resolution of 1024*600 - i know in Windows Intel updated the drivers to support 1024 *768 - has anyone got this to work in Peppermint and whats required?

Many tks

YES .. obviously you can't get it to TRULY / NATIVELY support 1024x768, but you can get it to pan and  scale to that resolution (which is 'effectively' the same thing).

Try running:
Code: [Select]
xrandr --output LVDS1 --panning 1024x768 --scale 1x1.28
and to get back to normal
Code: [Select]
xrandr --output LVDS1 --panning 1024x600 --scale 1x1

If that works, you could create an autostart file that will run that command at boot.

If it doesn't work, post the output from:
Code: [Select]
xrandr

Personally I've added 2 menu items that switch between those resolutions
