Title: My i Theme
Post by: acer on October 25, 2014, 04:37:58 pm
Hello fellow forum members,
After trying different linux distros over the last couple of years for my netbook, I have happily opted for peppermint 5 (P5) due to it's speed and simplicity. (Good job guys)
Here is my clean looking deskktop theme based on somethin else lol

i personally think it looks awesome even though some people are against the osx look (i personally have my desktop set up semi like yosemite and previously like tiger).

@iamesperambient

Part of that response was unnecessary and seems specifically designed to bring back to life the earlier flame .. remember what I said about banning people.

If this elicits the response it seems intended to, both parties will be banned .. though I attempted to lighten the mood in the other topic I was NOT kidding.

Please "let it go" ;)

Can people posting screenshots of artwork/themes/icon sets please at least name them, or even better post link(s) to where they can be downloaded .. so if anyone else likes the look they can reproduce it....

Otherwise you're just saying "look at my desktop" .. which is fine, but doesn't really belong in the "RESOURCES" section of the forum  ;)
(If you're just showing off your desktop, "General Discussion" is probably a better location)

TIA.

The above theme was adapted and edited using the following:

Snowbird interface theme.

Mac4Lin icon theme: with name edited icons which were replaced with Devian Art icons to replicate 'Yosemite' look
(had to search on-line for them and insert individually, took ages)

Docky.

Config editor to change Docky ;-)

Helvetica font pack (search on-line)

Yosemite background (search on-line)

Thanks to all the contibutors who have uploaded these files, you know who you are.

no flames here just saying it seems overall a lot of linux users are against a windows or osx theme for whatever reason and just saying i happen to prefer it is all.

@iamesperambient

In light of the previous exchange, that comment was not only unproductive, but unnecessary and downright inflammatory .. and you know it.

I repeat (for the last time) .. LET IT GO.
