Wifi dongle won't tell us if the ethernet ports on the router or PC are at fault ;)

Though it would certainly work around it.

Hi cfx795, sounds like you're in quite the pickle. Is there anyone close by that you could take the tower to, a friend or neighbor, to connect to their modem? This may be the only way to rule out a bad mother board. I've had thunderstorms with lightning take out my network card. Short of that, a usb wifi dongle could prove the card or modem condition, providing you get a good dongle.

That's frikkin awesome :)

Love the front engine mount hack, and the chain tensioner that moves the chain up under the guard.

Oh, and that tank seriously reminded me of a small squashed version of the one on the Honda QA50, the first bike I had as a kid in Indiana in the early 70's .. if you remove the black plastic band round the tank it also has that same spot welded seam/flange/whatever you wanna call it.

Mine was yellow, so nicknamed "Peanut" because of the tank shape/colour .. man I loved that thing.

Not a picture of "Peanut", just a generic one from the web.

@ VinDSL

That's weird, I thought hwe-16.04-edge was still on 4.11 :-\

It is, Chief.

I purposely didn't include the addy for the binaries - don't want users to experiment with things they can't recover from, if it goes south.

if you're interested, I'll PM you.  ;)

But if we get him a Mac, he may move to the MacRumors forum and stop being such a smarty pants on here :D
(or spend all his time jumping out from behind bushes)
