Keyboard volume control?
« on: July 25, 2020, 10:28:30 am »
Greetings all...I have an Acer 1410 netbook from 2009 that I recently brought back to life by installing a small SSD into it and since it was still running slowly with Windows I thought I'd dip my toe into the Linux waters with Peppermint.

Have to say I'm loving it so far.  This little thing will never be fast - it wasn't fast the day I bought it 11 years ago - but it is once again functional and if I ever have to travel for business again I'll at least have the option not to lug my full-size laptop along.

Anyway, on to my question.  The one thing I've seen that isn't working so far is that the function right arrow/left arrow combination to raise or lower the volume isn't working.  The function - up/down arrow to control brightness is working, as are fn-F6 to turn off the screen, fn-F7 to lock the trackpad, and fn-F8 to mute the sound.  Was wondering if anyone had any ideas about it.  Not a big deal as the slider using the audio output icon in the panel is working.
