How to restore network connection notifications.
« on: July 20, 2020, 11:03:49 am »
On Peppermint 10 after pressing "Don't show this message again" in a balloon pop-up for network notifications, I wanted to restore those notifications, which you can do via the terminal.

Start up the terminal and type in:

gsettings set org.gnome.nm-applet disable-vpn-notifications false
gsettings set org.gnome.nm-applet disable-connected-notifications false
gsettings set org.gnome.nm-applet disable-disconnected-notifications false

you can also enable them via the GUI by starting dconf editor by clicking Menu -> Peppermint Settings Panel -> Tweaks -> dconf Editor

In the dconf Editor click on org -> gnome -> nm-applet and disable disable-vpn-notifications; disable-connected-notifications; disable disconnected-notifications

Don't forget to click applaud to encourage effort on this forum whenever you learn something new, or interesting.  It will inspire me to research new information and put up new tutorials.
