Americans started using free services because they were cheap. If we had to pay $10 a month for facebook, Twitter, YouTube I bet these companies would care about privacy. But we're not willing and that's the problem. Its us.

What really bugs me. A person can't hunt for a job without a LinkedIn account these days. Microsoft literally holds our careers in an algorithm.

I'm only on Twitter today for the WordPress community and reach. I can't expect anyone to find interest in my personal blog on their own.
