Creating a Guest account SOLVED
« on: May 23, 2020, 11:49:10 am »
Dispite searches on this forum [general and Official tutorials] I can only find many entries where there are discussions about things in all manner of guest situations, so the existence of a guest account is a fact, I can not find an overview of: how does one create a true guest account? How are the permission [restrictions] arranged? Is the first greated [installation] account by definition the 'admin' account and will only this password allow [software/system] changes? Is the guest account automatically 'without modification privileges' of does one have to define everything oneself?

The guest "account" is non-permanent and everything is deleted on logout. Is that really what you want or just a regular user account?

In the guest account a Guest can't do anything that requires authorization from the admin, which would be your account.  They also will not have access to your files.

If you need to set up your Guest account bring up Login Window from the Whisker Menu, enter your password and go to the Users tab and turn on Allow Guest Sessions*
