Remove text from Panel Tabs (SOLVED)
« on: May 19, 2020, 07:58:23 am »
dirived from the post 'A Newbie Discussion'

Can I remove the text from the panel 'tabs' for open applications so just having icons? I have the panel vertical along the left so this would be less cluttered.

Answer from 'rayzer'    quote    right click on the panel at the very edge of the first tab, there should be a handle icon there which looks like 3 lines or dots depending on your theme. a  menu list should pop up saying window buttons, on that just click on properties.  in the new window called window buttons uncheck 'show button labels'.

another way is to right click on the panel in a blank area and go into panel preferences, click on the items tab then windows buttons. to the right of that hit the second last button which says edit current item. uncheck show button labels as already mentioned.

Your second suggestion worked perfectly!  :D

My thanks rayzer, any further comments will always be welcome   lliam
